Terms of use
The short version
- Tally doesn't publish its own end user licence agreement — your licence to use the app is Apple's Standard EULA.
- These website terms cover this site only: what's ours, what's yours, and using it responsibly.
- Tally is a record-keeper. It does not move money and nothing here is financial advice.
These terms cover your use of the Tally website. In them, Tally, we and us mean the publisher of the app, and you means the person using it.
1. App licence
Tally is distributed exclusively through the App Store, and we haven't published a custom end user licence agreement for it. Your licence to install and use the app is Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement — the default terms Apple applies to any App Store app that doesn't supply its own. You can read it in full on Apple's website:
apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula
Where anything on this page conflicts with the Standard EULA on how you may use the app itself, the Standard EULA controls.
2. This website
These additional terms cover the Tally marketing website only, not the app. By using this site you agree to use it lawfully, not to copy or redistribute its content without permission, and not to attempt to disrupt or reverse engineer it. The Tally name, icon and screens shown here belong to us.
3. Your records
The subscriptions, amounts and notes you enter in the app belong to you. You are responsible for their accuracy and for keeping your own backup. We claim no ownership of them and make no commercial use of them, as described in the privacy policy.
4. What Tally is not
Tally does not connect to your bank, does not process payments, and cannot cancel, pause or renew a subscription on your behalf. Totals and dates are calculated from what you entered, so they are only as correct as your entries. Nothing in the app or on this site is financial, tax or legal advice.
5. Purchases
Any purchase inside Tally is made through the App Store and is charged by Apple to your Apple Account. Refunds are handled by Apple under their policy, not by us. A purchase can be restored on any device signed in with the same Apple Account.
6. Availability and changes
We may add, change or withdraw features, and we may require a current version of iOS. We may also update these website terms; the date at the top of this page shows the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for charges you incurred from a service you subscribed to. Beyond the warranties your local law gives you and cannot exclude, this site and the app are provided as is.
